| Cover | Published term | What to do before buying |
|---|---|---|
| Vehicle | 7 years / 100,000 miles | Read exclusions and maintenance requirements |
| High-voltage battery | 8 years / 100,000 miles | Ask what battery conditions/capacity provisions apply |
| Roadside | Up to 7 years RAC | Confirm activation/servicing conditions |
Warranty isn't the same as “everything is free”.
Warranties normally have exclusions, conditions and maintenance requirements. Ask for the full terms and understand what is considered wear and tear, what is covered by servicing, and what could be excluded.
Ask for the actual warranty document.Don't rely on a salesperson's summary when a purchase depends on a specific component being covered.
