56 miles — what does that actually mean?
The 56-mile figure is the L8's headline WLTP electric range. It is a standardised test result rather than a promise that every journey will cover 56 miles on electricity.

When does a PHEV make sense?
If your normal daily driving can be covered largely by electric power and you can charge regularly, a PHEV can let you use electricity for routine journeys while retaining petrol flexibility for longer trips.
Think in journeys, not brochure numbers.Take your typical weekday distance, weekend trips and motorway usage. Then compare that with the electric range you realistically expect rather than assuming the WLTP figure will appear on every trip.
Charging
The L8's 18.4kWh battery can be DC fast charged from 30% to 80% in as little as 20 minutes according to LEPAS. Your actual charging time can vary with charger capability, battery conditions and other factors.
